Figures of the Egyptian revolution get the Vanity Fair treatment in a series of dramatic photographs by Jonas Fredwall Karlsson -- among them, Google executive Wael Ghonim, blogger Hassam El-Hamalwy, and Laila Marzouk, the mother of Khaled Said, the businessman whose death at the hands of police sparked a Facebook page credited with helping to spark the revolution.
