Drupal Camp Comes to NYC (and just in time)

BY Micah L. Sifry | Tuesday, April 18 2006

What do the following sites have in common?

Spread Firefox, Good Storm, Jim Hightower, Jerry Brown, ACLU TV, Our Media, a grassroots media site; Congressman Barney Frank, New York State Senate Democrats and the SEIU#039s Purple Ocean Campaign.

ALL of these sites use Drupal - an open-source software that allows an individual or a community of users to easily publish, manage and organize a great variety of content on a website - at extremely low costs.

The NYC user community of Drupal will host a two day educational/training session on May 13 & 14. For Saturday and Sunday, DrupalCamp NYC will have sessions for all types of users - from introductory sessions for first time users - advanced users who want a better understanding of how to maintain their sites - to developers who are

really wanting to get their hands dirty and tear apart the source code.

DrupalCamp NYC is free of charge, and will be at Polytechnic University - Brooklyn Campus. For more information or to register visit -

And if you are attending DrupalCamp NYC and want to also attend Personal Democracy Forum the next day, May 15, drop us an email at with "DrupalCamp" in the subject line and we#039ll offer you a special attendee discount.
