HillCam Continues the Fun
BY Joshua Levy | Friday, June 29 2007
This afternoon Hillary Clinton announced HillCam, a "behind-the-scenes look at the Clintons' 4th of July trip through Iowa next week." According to the press release, the feature promises to be "Clinton's latest groundbreaking effort on the Internet."
I'm curious to see how this plays out -- Hillary isn't exactly known for her candor, and even her best online videos have thus far been tightly scripted. Will this be a true "behind-the scenes" look, or more scripting?
Meanwhile, the preview on her site isn't much of a preview. It's a parody of a summer film ad, with nothing but white words appearing on a black screen and a warm, slightly carefree voiceover from what sounds like that guy who does all of the big movie preview voiceovers, complete with a "You've seen them in the White House... You've seen them on the world stage..." type of script. I guess we'll have to wait until Monday to see what it's all about.
