techPresident's StaffWiki: Who's Working Where?
By Joshua Levy, 07/31/2007 - 4:24pm

TechPresident works tirelessly to keep you as informed as possible about the presidential race, and today we’re releasing the latest addition to our info-arsenal, techPresident’s StaffWiki.

Staffwiki

The wiki - which is built on MediaWiki, the software that powers Wikipedia — is an open, editable guide to the web staffers working on the 2008 campaigns. The goal is for a comprehensive source covering who’s working on what campaigns, where they’ve worked before, what they’re making, and other relevant information.

But we need your help. This is a wiki, after all, which means that it needs a community to make it grow. We’ve seeded the wiki with as many staffer names and positions as we could find, but there’s lots more work to do. TechPresident sports some of the smartest, most informed readers in the political blogosphere; with your help, we can make this wiki a real asset to anyone researching the campaigns and valuable historical record when the race is over.

The wiki is completely open. You can add or edit any information you like (click “edit” at the top of any page), so if you know what position a staffer holds, add it. If you find incorrect information, fix it. If you’re a staffer and don’t see yourself represented, or would like to add to your entry, please edit away. We just ask that you be honest; users that knowingly add false information or vandalize will be banished from the site.

Wikis can be difficult to edit. Go here for some formatting guidelines if you’re new to the format. And please, pass this around. If this experiment is a success, we may tap the wisdom of the crowd for larger projects…
