Elizabeth Edwards on Tech, Politics, Media (2008)
BY Nancy Scola | Friday, December 10 2010
Elizabeth Edwards, you likely know, died this week. Edwards carried with her a reputation as an advocate for and adopter of technology in the civic space, from her advocacy for community computer use to her habit of mixing it up on progressive blogs. Back in 2008, Edwards was scheduled to speak at that year's Personal Democracy Forum in New York City, but was kept home in North Carolina because of bad weather. But no matter. Edwards spoke that day via video chat, and shared her take on the intersections between technology and our private and public lives. We've pulled the video from the vault. Give it a watch.
