Catching Up With Personal Democracy Forum Brussels 2012

BY Antonella Napolitano | Friday, June 1 2012

Finally, PDF came to Brussels!

Our first Brussels conference took place yesterday at the Brussels Press Club and featured MEPs, journalists, EU communications officials, diplomats, bloggers.

They all joined us for a day of analysis on how citizens and governments are using technology to address critical civic problems and engage in conversation.

The event was launched on the evening of May 30 with a screening at Google's Brussels office of the Page One documentary on how the New York Times is faring in the digital age. (The movie includes a brief clip from Personal Democracy Forum 2010, where Micah Sifry interviewed Daniel Ellsberg onstage with Julian Assange participating remotely via Skype.)

If you could not attend, you can catch up thanks to this Storify created by Aurélie Valtat and reading comments using the hashtag #pdfbrussels

Many thanks to Alia Papageorgiou aka @eurocentrique, the curator of the event.
