FCC.gov to host .GOV Developer Meetup Monday
BY Miranda Neubauer | Friday, April 13 2012
A note for our DC readers: FCC.gov will be hosting a meetup on Monday with the goal of introducing federal agencies' developer resources to the developer community. According to the FCC website, 13 government agencies will give presentations about their APIs and their resources. Those include the Census Bureau, the Department of Transportation, the Department of Education, and the Department of Labor, among others. After each agency gives a 7 to 10 minute "ignite" talk on their API or their assets, there will be networking sessions where developers can interact with the agencies, write code against these APIs, or present their use cases so government can understand how their assets are being consumed from the outside. The event, from 11 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., will be livestreamed on the FCC's website.
