Will the NRCC Declare Its Love for Nancy Pelosi on a Mobile Billboard Outside her Office?

The National Republican Congressional Committee is asking its supporters to propose messages to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi that the committee plans to display on a mobile billboard to be driven around the speaker's San Francisco office.

The message shared the most by email or Twitter wins.

In first place: "You have to spend your retirement fund to find out how much is in it."

In second place: "We love you, Nancy. We need you as speaker."

The National Republican Congressional Committee went live this morning with a video feed of a printer churning out paper copies of petitions signed online in opposition to the Affordable Care Act. As the printer spits out each piece of paper, its own Twitter feed announces when it runs out of toner and mentions signers who have a high Klout score. The whole new-media blitz meant to make the NRCC "first off the block" in the messaging wars over an expected Supreme Court decision on the constitutionality of President Barack Obama's health care legislation. The National Republican Congressional Committee's eCampaigns director, John Randall, has left to become director of political advertising at AOL, the NRCC has confirmed. House Budget Committee press secretary Gerrit Lansing is leaving his current gig to become digital director at the NRCC. Lansing's first day is April 30. Read More
