The Guardian UK has collected a hundreds of striking photo messages to Barack Obama on their Deadline USA blog. All it took was setting up a Flickr group and invite people share their thoughts in photo form. More than 800 messages have since poured in. Some had some general words of advice for the President-elect:

Some pledged their own efforts (though I'm not so sure the baby is sold on the idea of giving stuff up for the cause):

Others had specific bits of advice for the transition team:

And still others had recommendations on the people they'd like to see the President bring into government:

The photos seem similar in spirit to the "We are not afraid" photos that popped up just after the London bombings in 2005, when Londoners (and others around the world) created images telling the bombers that the attacks hadn't had the desired effects of scaring the public.
