Here it is kids, our favorite videos of the week! See below for a new video from the vicious SwiftKids for Truth, Mike Gravel talking to himself, a hilarious poke at Silicon Valley, and -- my favorite -- a mashup of Bollywood and Barack. You won't be disappointed.
6. Comparing the Caucus Videos
Earlier this week we compared the popularity of how-to-caucus videos from Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and John Edwards. As this chart shows, Hillary’s video (in blue) — with cameos from Bill and a hamburger — is far and away the most popular, with more than 88,000 views to date and more views every day than the others’. John Edwards’ (green) which was released after the other two, is already more popular than Barack Obama’s (red).
5. Governor Romney’s “Faith In America” Address
Yesterday Mitt Romney gave a talk about his Mormonism that his campaign and the media have The jury’s out on whether it convinced voters, but the Romney campaign succeeded in making the speech a make-or-break moment for his candidacy. Originally livestreamed on UStream.tv; 9,500 views on YouTube.
4. 23/6 SwiftKids: Hillary’s Cookies
The kids aren’t alright. The fearless SwiftKids for Truth are back, and this time, they have a bone to pick with Hillary Clinton over her dismissal of American cookies (“I could have stayed home and baked cookies”). After the Clinton campaign released a cookie recipe, the kids sensed a double standard. “Why put down cookies, then offer up a recipe for cookies?” asks one concerned kid. Another kid sums up the controversy in one word: “Whitewater.” About 6,400 views on YouTube, though the video officially lives on 23/6, the online comedy channel.
3. Two Mikes
More from the annals of Gravelia. Last week we saw “Power to the People,” a wonderful voter-generated video of Gravel quoting John Lennon and himself. It had a great MTV circa-1992 feel to it. In this campaign ad, Gravel asks himself the kinds questions that a journalist might ask him, if that journalist was Mike Gravel. Meanwhile, game-show-concentration music plays in the background. It makes me feel nervous. About 3,000 views on YouTube.
2. Here Comes Another Bubble
Bubble? What bubble? In a remake of one of my least favorite songs of all time, this video, created by Matt Hempey, does the delicate (and easy) work of poking fun at Web 2.0 celebrities like Robert Scoble, Sergey and Larry, Mark Zuckerberg, and all those blue-shirted guys working in Palo Alto. Almost 400,000 views on YouTube.
1. Barack OBollywood
This mashup of Barack Obama appearances, Bollywood clips, and psychedelic nonsense is simply one of my favorite political videos of the year. Maybe the favorite. The first sixty seconds are pure bliss, truly “East meets West meets acid,” as creator CamPain2008 describes it. A rising sun, a quote from Obama, and… Obama suddenly “singing,” backed by an infectious Indian groove. A paltry 25,000 views on YouTube so far. Not if I can help it.

Perfect. I'm a white guy and married to an Indian (from India) American. We had the Indian wedding and danced to this type of great music.
Thanks !
