As we head into the final stretch of Round One of 10Questions, we’re hoping to add a bunch more videos to the mix.
TechPresident blogger and 10Questions co-sponsor (via CultureKitchen) Liza Sabater is leading a 10Questions meetup Sunday afternoon at the Rapture Cafe in New York. Liza is encouraging people to bring a video camera and a laptop so they quickly record and upload their questions, but it’s not just for folks with gear. “If you are a hard-wired geek like me, bring your gear and at least one non-techie friend,” Liza writes. “That’s the whole point —to invite the techless.”
Go here for more details.
We’re continuing to get solid traffic, with about 2,500 visits, 4,000 votes, and 400 new voters in the last day. This brings our totals to about 84,500 total votes and 24,700 total voters. We haven’t seen any new videos in the last day, but that should change as we head into the weekend.
Over at co-sponsor BlogHer, Morra Aarons, who also blogs at techPresident, generously provided readers with an update on 10Questions and says she’ll post her question this weekend. “I’m going to ask a Voter Manifesto question about Iraq. Frankly, things like this make me nervous, but I’m going to put my money where my mouth is and speak up. I hope you’ll join me.” Thanks Morra! We’re looking forward to seeing more videos from the BlogHer community.

10Questions co-sponsor TeacherTube posted a call for videos on its blog. “What a great way to get students involved in the democratic process!,” enthuses TeacherTube’s Jodie Smith.

Amy Lang, writing at the National Coalition for Dialogue & Deliberation, picked up on a post from Steven Clift (of co-sponsor E-Democracy.org) about 10Questions. “This tool is generating a lot of buzz, and will likely be used by many political candidates to connect with voters,” Lang writes.
