White House Tries Out New Service Provider

Remember all the talk about a Craigslist for Service during the Obama campaign and the Change.gov transition days? There's been a development. The Craigslist Foundation, along with Google and a bunch of other partners, have launched All for Good. An open API built mostly by Google engineers working on their 20% time, All for Good makes volunteer and other service opportunities pulled from sources like Volunteer Match and Idealist easily searchable -- with mapping, ratings, and other social tools built in. All for Good's beta tester? The White House.
