W.H. Open for -- Po' Boy-Related -- Questions

Here's where you go to ask the director of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, aka NOAA, whether it's safe to eat Gulf Coast shrimp, oysters, and other sea-borne delicacies put at risk by the BP oil mess.
This one's a rather interesting implementation of the White House's Open for Questions web-enabled two-way public engagement thingamabob, I think, given that it's on a specific question, one on many folks' minds, and one that might actually have some fairly factual answers. That said, how much is the director of NOAA going to know about how much oil and dispersant seeps into the environments and bodies of specific sea creatures? That said, you can see there being some value in getting a federal official on record proclaiming the safety of the particular sea creature on which you make a living. Will be interesting to see how this one turns out. If you agree, tune into White House Live on Monday, 2pm EST, though you can get your questions in via Facebook or web form now.
