Training the left's next generation in campaign data

Not sure whether we have David Plouffe and his obsessive attention to numbers to thank for this, or if it has more to do with the rising tide of interest in government data, but the progressive field training program New Organizing Institute is issuing an invitation for a select few to "Join the Data Revolution." You'll come away from the five-day, all-expenses-paid program a master of voter files, a genius in VAN:
As candidate and advocacy campaigns become more effective by using better data, there is a growing need for professional, trained data managers. NOI is proud to introduce Data BootCamp 2010- an intensive, five-day training hosted by the most successful practitioners in the industry.
The BootCamp will take place in Washington DC, February 28th through March 4th. Separate from the Democratic Party but affiliated with the labor movement, NOI training programs might be one of the better kept secrets in modern campaigning. Hundreds of organizers have based through their trainings.
