Rangel: Call Your Congressperson for Me
BY Nancy Scola | Thursday, December 2 2010
With the House ethics committee getting ready to vote today on whether or not to censure Charlie Rangel for violating congressional rules, the New York Democrat is making novel use of his email list, reports the Daily News -- sending a note to subscribers calling on them to lobby Congress on his behalf. "Urge your member of Congress to speak against the sanction resolution," read the email, according to the paper, "and encourage them to vote against the censure on the House floor." Seems like Rangel's got a sense of which way the committee vote's going to go.
