A bit of industry staffing news: Larry Lessig announced this morning that Fix Congress First has settled on a "social media maven" to head up the project's online campaigns.
His name's Joey Mornin, and Lessig writes of his background, "He comes to us from Harvard University's Berkman Center for Internet & Society. Joey brings extensive experience from a range of online activist efforts, including the T. Boone Pickens alternative energy campaign, and an in-depth knowledge and understanding of how to use technology to galvanize and engage a community."
Fix Congress First, co-founded by Lessig with Joe Trippi, is a part of the broader Change Congress effort, focused on boosting small-dollar fundraising in the U.S. and the public funding of elections.
