The Left's Online Organizers of the Year
BY Nancy Scola | Monday, February 22 2010
Much of what went on at this weekend's Rootscamp, an annual(ish) gathering of several hundred grassroots organizers and activists on the left, was off the record to encourage open discussion, but who doesn't want to celebrate award winners?
Here are the winners of the Rootscamp Most Valuable Organizers 2010 award, voted on by unconference attendees:
- Best Tool: ActBlue*
- Best Organizers: Stephanie Taylor and Adam Green of the Progressive Change Campaign Committee
- Best Campaign: Basta Dobbs
Correction: Somewhere between notebook and keyboard, act.ly, which was indeed a nominee in the Best Tool category, got swapped for ActBlue, which indeed actually won the award. I deeply regret the error. Seriously, I feel bad.
