FOIA.gov Joins the Federal Family

The Department of Justice today rolls out FOIA.gov, "a comprehensive public resource for government-wide FOIA information and data." The new site is one part public primer on how to use the Freedom of Information Act, and another part pan-government clearinghouse for data on the handling of FOIA requests agency-by-agency, and office-by-office. There's a name and shame component: the site tracks which federal government offices have the longest backlogs.
