DNC Experiments with Buzz
BY Nancy Scola | Thursday, February 11 2010
Some of us (cough, me, cough) might be going the "don't want it, don't need it" route with Google Buzz, but the Democratic National Committee is making sure to cover its new media bases. An email went out this afternoon that razzes RNC Chairman Michael Steele for sharing his feeling that a million dollar is "not a lot." In a bit of experimentation, tagged on the bottom was an encouragement to use Google's new social sharing do-hickey to spread the word:

How's this for list segmentation? The email only went out to those folks on the DNC email list who have a Gmail email address.
(The DNC has also put together a web calculator that helps you figure out just how long it will take you to earn "not a lot" according to Steele's metrics.)
