- The Maine No on 1 marriage equality campaign gives a shout-out to the netroots, in particular for helping to raise more than a million dollars on ActBlue. Also, Belinda Carlisle shoots a web ad. (Anyone else unable to get "vacation state, all I ever wanted..." out of their heads?)
- CTO Chopra and CIO Kundra opine on Moore's law.
- The FTC will hold an event in early December called "From Town Crier to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?"
- Should "social media" be retired in favor of "connection technologies"?
- Twitter goes into the wine business. Seriously. It's a micro-wine operation, where the product will come in very tiny bottles. Not seriously.
- Net neutrality inside baseball.
- Law enforcement releases a crime map of England and Wales. It's so popular, it falls apart.
- The White House has enlisted its official blog in its battle with Fox News. Read the linked piece for some good history on past presidents' conflicts with the press. Obama isn't the first. Heck, the press was said to have killed Jackson's wife!
- At least with Jackson, the subject was something juicy like bigamy. Email confirmations and the validity of opt-in lists are becoming the newest things to fight over.
- The live web is evolving to be more search friendly. Twitter and Facebook status updates will soon, it seems, be Bing-able.
