- ProPublica has, over its short life, made a name for itself doing deep dives, on the stimulus, health care reform, post-Katrina hospitals, and more. Its new project takes a different approach: Officials Say the Darndest Things is a Tumblr blog of, well, the eye-brow raising things that politicians and others in power can be counted on to say on a regular basis. - Some said soldiers don’t know how to code...
- Change Congress is looking to bring on a "social media maven."
- Wikileaks as adhocracy, and not in a good way.
- The Obama administration is asking for clarification on just what the law means by obtainable "electronic communication transactional records." Marc Ambinder argues that whether or not that's concerning comes down to trust.
- In case you didn't already know to not name a file "Jewish money."
- And Shirley Sherrod might not have a case because of how quickly her reputation was repaired.
