Chuck Grassley's Twitter Fever

BY Nancy Scola | Monday, September 13 2010

Via Ben Smith comes an ad spot from Senator Chuck Grassley in which the BlackBerry wielding Iowa Republican, up now for re-election, pledges, "I'll tweet, I'll text, I'll do whatever it takes."

Grassley opponent Roxanne Conlin, a Democrat, has used a somewhat lower-tech analogy to describe why Grassley's half-century in public office makes him a bit outmoded, saying that as every good farmer knows, "51 years...is a long time to go without rotating crops."
