Being and Nothing Burgers

The practice of email organizing is something of mystery to me, so perhaps an expert in the admittedly important field can explain the strategy behind John Kerry's latest missive (reposted on HuffPo). The topic is the perniciousness of 'think tanks' that are really fronts for suspect political arguments. Curious point number one: the subject line is in all lower case, as in "they do this with a straight face." What's up with that?
And secondly, there's this passage:
We get a great example today in the Hill, where a William Yeatman from the Competitive Enterprise Institute takes a big nothing-burger off the grill to try and muddy up reality that climate change endangers our national security.
Okay, there's really not much I'm curious about there. This was really just a cheap opportunity to point out that United States Senator John Kerry used the phrase "nothing-burger."
